Default [Fixed] svchost.exe is constantly accessing the internet.

I have an issue with one thread of svchost accessing the internet constantly. It eventually causes my machine to slow down and drop my connection. It is also using a lot of cpu and memory.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Here is my hijack this file.

**Please read the rules about posting HJT & other logs**

Sorry about that.

I also attached the tasklist entry that shows PID 568. That is the one that seems to be causing the problem.

Hi there Sandman3 , welcome to PCHF.

Doesn't look like a malware prob , but you can fix this one with hjt:

O4 - Global Startup: ATI CATALYST System Tray.lnk.disabled

But what are youre system specs? Unless you have a really good proc and loads of ram then i think you are drowning youre pc. You have way to much stuff running.

That should be able to hande it , can you post a startup list?

1. start HijackThis
2. click on 'Config'
3. click on 'Misc Tools'
4. Put a check in 'List also minor sections (full)'
5. click on 'Generate StartupList log'
6. click on 'yes' to make the log
7. Then attach the resulting log to a post here

Default Cleaned up some processes

I cleaned out a few things so I am attaching an updated hjt list as well.

Thanks

That looks alot better already , only this can still be fixed:

O4 - Startup: Winamp.lnk.disabled

And i don't see any problems in youre startup list , except did you set these tasks youre self? :

Enumerating Task Scheduler jobs:

1-Click Maintenance.job
Spybot - Search & Destroy - Scheduled Task.job
Surface.job
Write TV Magazine.job
I have no idea what the last two are.

Yes those jobs are jobs I set to run. The last 2 are a TV show that is on weekly and the TV guide.
Over the last few days it seems loike my machine starts slowing the most nociably when I use Azureus. I am wondering if that may have a memory leak in it.
