I can't get Mcafee Updates. I've tried everything, Mcafee says my email address is not valid. Same with the password. I'm getting very ticked off about that program. Try and protect your system, you buy their program but yet they don't won't to help you except get paid!! Here is the HJT log,

 Hi Sniper,

As you can see, I moved your post. It is important for everyone that everyone post their problems in their own thread. Otherwise it becomes very confusing for both the Tech team as well as the members. Thanks,

Let me have a look at your log.

Hey Sniper,

Can you please follow the instruction for PreWork in my signature. Post back the ewido log, you can fix these two entries with HijackThis, then run CCleaner again, and post a new HJT log.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1

Doesn't Mcafee has an update option in its program? You shouldn't have to go to a site to update Mcafee. Or do you mean a registration process?

But have a go with LGW's instructions , and also run Hoster:

Download the Hoster from here. Press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program. This will restore the original Hosts file.
