Hi Cartandpeg!
Welcome to PC Help Forum!

You seem to be dealing with some malware here and unfortunately that's not me area. As our Security and Malware members are currently not online, I would ask you to wait for their posts.

Welcome from me to.

First please have a look in add/remove programs for any of these:

Messenger Plus
Window Search
Window Searching
Lop.com
LOP SEARCH
Browser Enhancer
Ultimate Browser Enhancer

If they are present then remove those.

Then download and run these two apps:

http://lop.com/uninstall.exe

http://lop.com/toolbar_uninstall.exe

and after that please follow the instructions in the "Prework" link below and attach the resulting Ewido and Hijackthis log to a post here.

Im not sure what you mean here , what tools did you download to be precice?

Did you use Xoftspy to scan or was it detected by one of the two tools i posted? (or Ewido?)
You can fix anything that comes up with the two lop removal tools i posted anyway.

Default More Info Joe for U

Hi Joe srry about lack of info in previous post.
I downloaded the uninstall exe for the toolbar and used that.
When I went to the link at http:/lop.com/uninstall.exe it took me to www.lop.com,I clicked on the computer icon link on the page and that took me to another page in which i typed lop scan in the search bar, that then showed me where the Lop Scan was,I downloaded that scanner and ran it.
The scan showed I had three faults two where registry Keys and one was a trojan,I did not delete these as I was unsure about the registry keys being deleted?
Should I continue and delete what was found by the Lop scan?
The actual scan I used was XoftSpy 4.21 for the Lop Scan and the the tool bar scan just says toolbar uninstall, the toolbar scan asked me to put in numbers which was on the screen then it done its scan after doing that twice(putting verification numbers in I assume).
Do I continue my Lop scan and delete all that is had found?
I assume if I do then I would continue on with the Prework as u asked before.
Srry about long post.Thanks Joe

I really don't like those guys!

They are now redirecting the url to there removal tool , to there homepage , and when i found the removal tool , my AV popped up with a warning!

So im not gone let you use that tool ofcourse. And Xoftspy is a malware app itself and what it found are very likely false positives.
You should uninstall that app again and ignore its detections.

Just continue with the Prework and we'll have a look what else needs to be done.
