this is an hp media desktop with HP's xp home package. I am trying to install a peice of recording hardware. I having problems because of a previous installation. There is a folder in the C:/Program Files that i want to get rid of but when i click on it it seems to freeze up. I know that the software and folder are legit from the installation disk. But it says some kind of redundency error when i try to reinstall it. any idea??? I just want to get all of the previous installation cleared off and put a fresh install on. The device is an M-audio FirePod- solo.

Hya Sumo , things like that are ofcourse not gona show up in an hjt or ewido log. You can better make a new topic in the general software for this prob i think.
