So far the only pop ups I got were a couple from the sites I was on. I didn't see any of the others that I usually get. I think the problem is fixed. Thank you for all your help.

Default Still having pop up problems.

I got the pop up problem back again. The other day my boyfriend wanted me to put the old Media Player verison back on so I used the RegSupremePro to remove it since I couldn't find it in the add/remove programs and I also removed an old antivirus I tried to put on the computer that didn't work. The Media Player said it would uninstall to the last version so I did and restarted the computer and got a black screen saying that the system/config file was missing so I had to use a disc for a different computer to fix it and now I got the pop ups back. I ran the RegSupremePro and didn't get any results. Here is my HJT file.

You can fix this one with hjt in savemode:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = file://C:\WINDOWS\System32/left.html

And can you post a hjt startuplist?

1. start HijackThis
2. click on 'Config'
3. click on 'Misc Tools'
4. Put a check in 'List also minor sections (full)'
5. click on 'Generate StartupList log'
6. click on 'yes' to make the log
7. Then copy the resulting log to a post here

And you still don't seem to have a firewall , that is like leaving the frontdoor of youre house wideopen for burglers.
Have a look in our download section for some free ones.

I checked the computer and I have a Windows Firewall that is turned on. My boyfriend's other computer is not getting the same pop ups as this one. I searched online and found a lot of other people with the same problem. Someone on another forum said it was a hidden script and I clicked on the link they had listed to download a folder that will get rid of the pop ups but the link wouldn't work. The main pop ups I'm getting are 888.com, search inqwire, and some casino ones. I could post a log for the other computer on here but I didn't know if it would be confusing.

Posting a log from youre friends pc that is not having the popups isn't gona help i think.
But can you post the link to that forum post you mentioned?

And did you set these taskscheduler jobs youreself?

Enumerating Task Scheduler jobs:

PCHealth Scheduler for Data Collection.job
Tune-up Application Start.job
Maintenance-Defragment programs.job
Maintenance-Disk cleanup.job

Also check if the Application Layer Gateway Service is running:

Click Start>Run and type in: services.msc , rightclick the Application Layer Gateway Service and select properties.
After "startup type" select "automatic" if it isn't set to that. And reboot.

Both computers have the same exact pop ups. I am on my boyfriends newer computer right now since I tried to download different firewalls on the other one that we have been trying to fix the pop ups on. The computer wouldn't start up right and had to repair for each different firewall. I have uninstalled each before trying to install another one. No, I did not set the task scheduler jobs.

Here is the link I found. http://help.lockergnome.com/lofivers...hp/t38089.html

I got a message saying Windows cannot find 'services.msc'.
