You can use that one also for 017 entry's/dns look ups.

Yes you did, and I thought I checked there first. But I didn't see 017 entries. I'll check again, thanks.

The search bar you need to use for that is not designated as a "017" search bar but as "dns lookup" , you can lookup the IP's in the 017 entry's there.

Hi Darsus,

I don't know what you mean by it didn't work. Could you please post the logs so we can see what is remaining.

In answer to your question regarding infections, I think you should read the PCHF Protecting Your PC link in my signature. Cable will make your surfing faster, not safer. You still need to keep your PC protected properly.

If you would like to reformat and start over that would certainly solve your current situation. But may not be necessary, and is not going to keep you from becoming infected in the future.

If you do decide to just reformat and start over, I highly suggest using the multi-partition instruction for Installing XP that you will find in my signature. It keeps XP running much more smoothly.

Looking forward to your reply,

LGW

Yup , please post a new hjt log and a new Ewido log for us to check.

And can you describe the problems do you still have?

In case it is still look2me that is giving problems , Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
