Okay, well there's nothing to go by in the
HJT logfile. So there's either a software or hardware incompatibility somewhere along the lines. Whatever the cause, it should be found and removed.
I would start with going to Start > Run > type
SFC /scannow and allow the scan to complete. You will likely need the XP Setup disk, although an OEM setup (where XP is pre-installed & you don't get a disk) might not. This might highlight and resolve issues with corrupt or missing files.
It would also be an idea to run an online scan
[here] using Internet Explorer (ActiveX needs to be permitted). Before scanning, please go to Settings and choose to scan for "Extended threats". Then select to scan "My Computer". This facility does not remove any threats, so if anything is found you can save the results (once complete) in either a text or HTML format and then attach to this thread. Other online scans do remove threats but are not so good as Kaspersky for scanning.
