hi, i have about 40 or so processor's running in my task manager,i know i dont need all these running ,the problem i have is i dont know what to stop and what not to stop,i suffer with very bad lag when i play games and i believe its down to how many things i have running if i leave a few screenshots of whats running in my task manager and a hijackthis log if anybody takes a look and has any idea's it would be much appreciated ..

Hiya Rob,

Sorry, I didn't realize that this had gotten cut off.

You have a few things that you can fix with HijackThis!, most likely your slow down is due to the Symantec Suite you have running. My husband used it for about a week before chucking it and leaving only the AV running. He's much happier now.

As far as your processes go, you need all of them for the system you have. I would download CCleaner, and RegSupremePro from my signature. Install them both. Run CCLeaner, making sure that all options are checked, including all Advanced options, answer OK to any warnings. Click on Analyze, let it run. When it has finished, click on Run Cleaner.

Next run HijackThis! and fix the following;

Delete the items in Bold if they are still on your computer. Run CCleaner again. Next run RegSupremePro, it will want to create a backup of your reg, let it. When it is finished, click on the Registry Cleaner tab, select Aggressive on the popup box, let it run. When it is finished, click on Select, choose all, click on Fix.

Run CCleaner one more time. Defrag your computer. See if your computer is running any faster.

Hi thanks for looking through my log i did everything you asked me to do (i think) the reg supreme program i downloaded as an 30 day trial (is that ok) and i made a back up within it as you asked,what do i do with the backup now ??
