Here is where the program went wrong

8. You should be back to the "Security" tab... Double-check that you have remained in the "Restricted Sites" zone then CLICK "Custom Level"
9. Now adjust your browser settings in the "Restricted sites" zone to these levels:
Download signed ActiveX controls (Disable)
Download unsigned ActiveX controls (Disable)
Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe (Disable)
Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins (Disable)
Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting (Disable)


Should be

9) enable
prompt
prompt
prompt
enable

and take out ebay and paypal out of your restricted sites!!!

What was the guy thingking?

As i read it she already deleted those entry's and set back the settings to default.
But on the securety tab did you reset all internetzones to default? (one by one)

Yeah, I changed the following one at a time to defalt:

Security
Privacy
Advanced

Now I am mentally kicking myself :-P for not getting help before changing it at all.

So can you get into sites yet? If not I willtake you step by step on how to reverse the program!

No- not yet. I am not sure I have it all where it needs to be. I did go back to defalt levels before I looked for help here and the active X levels you specifed were already changed to what you stated, but I still am confused about the secong half of your instructions ( the enable, prompt, prompt, prompt, enable part) and don;t know which things to change to them.
