Default [FIXED]1720 spyware traces and 230 virus notifications!!!

Hi, my name is Brent and i have had a problem for a while, and searching for solutions on google, found a post here at your website with the same EXACT problem .? It got solved so i was hoping that my problem could, too, be solved.?

Just recently i had about 20 norton notifications...all virus ending with different extensions such as .ddl .exe .class etc. the first thing that happened was that the website i was browsing on closed so that no windows were open. Then my backround changed to something like "your computer is infected with spyware, go to our website to help." I tried to change it but when i clicked on properties for the desktop, the tab for wallpaper was gone, along with a couple others.? I only have 2 tabs! Then there were a couple new icons on my desktop, along with 14 new entries under my favorites, and when i open my homepage, it says about:blank in the url space, then, right away, switches to "www.oneclicksearchers.com" In addition, in the bottom right corner of my screen, where the clock is, there are two new icons. One is a red circle with a white explanation mark, and the other is a yellow triangle.? These, every 10 minutes, pops up a bubble saying my computer is infected.? I also get random spyware removal internet pop ups, even when a browser isnt open.? I tried many programs such as spybot S&D, ad-aware, SPYSWEEPER, AVAST, and a couple others.? None seem to have done to much; my start page is still the same, and i cant change my wallpaper, and the icons are still next to my clock.? I really need your guys's help!

any help is greatly appriciated!

here is the hijackthis log before i ran the anti-spyware programs, followed by one after i ran the programs

Default Re: 1720 spyware traces and 230 virus notifications!!!

Hi Brent , let's see if whe can clean that up.

Before using Hijack This Can you please do this for me:

Show hidden files and folders:

For XP:

1.On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
2.Click the View tab.
3.Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
4.If you see a warning message, click Yes.
5.Click Apply.
6.Click OK.

For 98/2000/ME:

1.double-click the My Computer icon
2.Click on the View menu, click Folder Options
3.Advanced Settings box, under the "Hidden files" folder, click Show all files.
4.If you see a warning message, click Yes.
5.Click Apply.
6.Click OK.

Then disable system restore to prevent re-infection.
(if you have/use it.)
(you can turn it back on when youre pc is clean).

How to disable system restore:

WinXP.

Click the Start button.
Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
On the System Restore tab, check Turn off System Restore or Turn off System Restore on all drives.

WinME.

Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
Double-click the System icon.
If the System icon is not visible, click View all Control Panel options to display it.
On the Performance tab, click File System.
On the Troubleshooting tab check Disable System Restore.
Click OK. Click Yes, when you are prompted to restart Windows.

And then do some pre-work clean up

In safemode: (hit f8 when booting up)

empty the C:\windows\prefetch folder ,
empty the c:\windows\temp folder ,
empty the C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp folder ,
empty the C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder EXCEPT the content.ie5 folder (may be hidden).
(replace administrator with youre user name) and (replace windows with winnt if needed)

And close all instances of IE and OE ,then go to: Control Panel / Internet Options / General tab ,
Click the "Delete Files" button.
When prompted place a check in: "Delete all offline content", click OK. This removes the junk files such as downloaded files,
zero byte files created by Outlook Express and many other hidden files that reside in your cache.

Then still in safemode fix these with hijackthis:

Default Re: 1720 spyware traces and 230 virus notifications!!!

Wow. thankyou so much. there arent any more icons in my tray by the clock, and my home page is back! the only thing is that i still cant change my wallpaper. when i click the properties, it only has the screensaver and setting tab. also, i coudnt find the file hpD5F.tmp, one you told me to delete. One last thing is that when i turned on the computer there were two new icons on my desktop, both of which popped up there before all the bad things started to happen. so hopefully those arent a problem. here is my new log

Default Re: 1720 spyware traces and 230 virus notifications!!!

Some of it came back , boot in safemode again and open the taskmanager and see if these are running:

r_server.exe
ntua32.exe

If they are then stop them , if not then stop all non microsoft services before proceeding.

Still in safemode fix these again with hijackthis:

C:\WINDOWS\popuper.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\intmonp.exe
O23 - Service: Remote Administrator Service (r_server) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\System32\r_server.exe" /service (file missing)
O23 - Service: Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Helper (? 6Q??'????8) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntua32.exe" /s (file missing)

Then delete this one again from youre windows folder:

popuper.exe

And these from youre system32 folder:

intmonp.exe
r_server.exe
ntua32.exe

And post a new log again to check if it stayed gone this time.

Default Re: 1720 spyware traces and 230 virus notifications!!!

k...i deleted a few extra things that i new were not supossed to be there...ran avast , spysweeper, and adaware in safe mode, and went in the registry and changed the values of the desktop properties to 0, which put back tabs in the desktop proterties window, so i can change the wallpaper!

so far so good, everything is running like normal...hopefully it stays this way...here is my new log
