Default [Closed] IEXPLORE !!!!!!!!!!!! PAIN IN THE ***

Hi all .... I play games online quite alot ... recently ive experianced more lag and slower connection than usual ... i looked in task manager ... and i notice IEXPLORE.EXE running a few times ... i thought it was internet explorer but i dont use that i use Mozilla Firefox ... anyway ive ran Spybot & Adaware to see if this gets rid of the problem .. but it hasnt ... im pretty new to computing and i havent a clue how to get rid of IEXPLORE

If anyone can help in any way possible please post .... I fell like chucking the PC out the window !!!!!!!!!? :banghead: :banghead:

Have you tired running a virus scanner? If you dont have one you can run the virus scanner online in my signature down below

well your probly using firefox. You would have to open IE to do the scan.. Or download AVG and update it let it scan your pc and turn off system restore before scanning

Click the Start button.
Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
On the System Restore tab, check Turn off System Restore or Turn off System Restore on all drives.

Rob , did you try the virus scanner that Merlin suggested?
And after the scan can you post a log from Hijackthis? (see link below)
