Default [Fixed/Pending] Please help me!!

Hi,

I have been having some problems with my PC that I hope someone can help me sort out!

I access the internet on a dial-up connection which times out after 2 hours. Once i get on the internet i load an online game and get stuck in...when the connection goes after 2 hours i reconnect and attempt to get back into my game. The problem is that when i go back into the game for the second time it gets to a certain point (opening movie) and then the whole computer crashes.

I have tried repeatedly to reload the computer after it crashes but it gets to the login page for Windows and then shuts off again. It does this for 20 minutes until it finally lets me get back in and then i can get back to the game!!

I think i may have a virus of some sorts as when the computer keeps shutting off for 20 minutes i get some error messages titled llass.exe and something along the lines of "failed to initialize".

This problem also occurs if i try to restart the computer after the two hour timeout and sometimes happens about 5 minutes after ive been connected to the internet. Im really stumped as to what it could be and as you can imagine this problem is very annoying :banghead:

I have included a copy of my Hijack log to see whether something shows up in there!!

Thanks very much and im mega appreciative of any help

Hello there Kanilla.

Fix these with Hijackthis:

O16 - DPF: {24311111-1111-1121-1111-111191113457} - file://c:\eied_s7.cab
O8 - Extra context menu item: Search with Freeserve - res://C:\PROGRA~1\FREESE~1\FSBar\FSBar.dll/VSearch.htm
And remove this one manually from youre trusted sites:

O15 - Trusted Zone: http://awbeta.net-nucleus.com (HKLM)
See if the prob is still there after that.

Is your Norton Antivirus up to date?

Try run stinger to check your system for any trojans. You can find it in my signature under "Handy Tools"

I have fixed those two entries although i couldn't work out how to manually delete the trusted site. Could you point me in the right direction??

Also i made sure Norton Antivirus and Spy Sweeper was up to date and rans scans on both - came up clear.

I also ran the stinger scan as suggested which was clear too.

I havent been able to see whether the problem is fixed yet but here is my new hijack log incase there is anything else. I will post again as soon as i've tested the problem!

To remove the trusted site: in an I.E. window go to: tools/internet options/securety/trusted sites/sites.

Let's hope the prob is solved.

I tried to delete the trusted site again so i went into "tools, internet options, security and trusted sites" and there was nothing in there!!

Any other way i can find it to delete it??

I also tested the problem again and it is still happening...I tried to reboot the computer within the 20 minutes to see what error messages i got but the only one that came up yesterday was "lsass.exe" "Failed to initialise"..

Any other ideas??

Thanks very much for your help :-)
