I've tried that but no good even tried downloading a free browser but that doesnt work. Also ive noticed when i went to update my virus files it wouldnt connect the only program that can actually get out of my computer is outlook nothing else. is there a firewall setting on xp that i need to change any help gratefully recieved.

Well , you need I.E. for windows update and other browsers also didn't work for him :wink:

Is that your whole log file ?

Could you run the program again and then either copy the whole log onto the site or save it as a text file and attach it to the forums.

Yes thats the lot ive just read it it and it got me thinking ive just deleted my norton firewall and antiv virus and thathas done the trick.
