Default [Fixed] my homepage has been changed - help!

Dear Forum,
I am in need of help here.

I've installed Spy Doctor to kill those disturbing threats but the vital threat in my computer is not eliminated.

U see, my homepage used to be Yahoo. But recently it has been changed to a search page and 2 runtime errors (same error) will pop out. It still remains after Spy Doctor removes those threats in my pc.

I really do not know what went wrong.

Pls help if anyone know how to eliminate this and set my homepage back to default.

Million thanks,
Michelle

Hi and welcome to PCHF olafsnackjp

nuratasya has provided a great answer.

You could also download HiJack This! from the Downloads section on this site. Run the utility and paste the results here

http://www.pchelpforum.com/download-file-20.html - HiJack This!
http://www.pchelpforum.com/download-file-21.html - CWShredder

You should also get CWShredder from the Downloads - it's a great little util.

Default log file

Dear Forum,
Many thanks for the quick reply.

Adware Remover Gold has detected 45 errors but unfortunately to remove them, I gotta pay a fee.

So I tried on Hijack This. This software has listed a chunk of threats and I am not sure if I should delete them all. Thus I attached a copy of the log file. Hopefully the support team can help me out.
Below is one of the threat which I think poses the biggest problem.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://qsg10.hpwis.com/

Thanks.

Default zip file

Sorry, I tot I had already attached them.

Anyway I zipped it. One is the pic of the homepage with the runtime error message. Another one is the log file.

Q1: http://www.yahoo.com/?r772=1096375282

Now Yahoo has this string of numbers in their URL. Could this be the problem? And....2 different runtime errors pops out when Yahoo is activated.

Q2: If I do a System Restore back to the first day of purchase (around Jan 2004), will this problem be solved? But will my files and other downloads be erased?
