Default How do I correctly configure Nortons Firewall

Hey All.

I have been using Norton's Internet Security 2009 for some time know with varying results.

I am posting this thread/Question because I am Not entirely happy with Norton's Smart Firewall.

which as you probably know handles all the Firewall's alerts silently in the background, and picks and chooses how to answer all my alerts (So called intelligently)..

I would like to know if anyone with experience with Norton's Firewall or Firewall's in general.

Can suggest the correct settings for my above firewall, so that I have some control over the basic firewall alerts, but still have Norton handle the more serious alerts.

Or let me know if this is even possible?

It should be.

If I am not mistaken. It seem with Norton IS 2009. You either have all or nothing control of the firewall's resources or alerts.

Is it possible to have the some control over my firewall. Similar to how McAfee's Firewall works?
.But still have Norton handle the more obscure Firewall alerts??

I do like how Symantec/Norton have built this new Security suite to keep system speed Good.
and NOT hog all my systems resources like earlier versions used to.

And the whole security suite is packed with other security features.
One of my favorite is the encrypted password, Identity safe, Cards and log in, Browser toolbar.
This makes signing in safely to my favorite sites a breeze.

It's just this F/Wall thing is beginning to be a bit of A bug-Bear...

I still have 360 days left of a 15 Month subscription with 'NIS 2009'.
This is why I would prefer to get my moneys worth.

I hope somebody can help?

I look forward to any replies...
