Default ZoneAlarm Warning

I've received this message a couple of times now from ZA, just wondering if anybody can tell me what it is and if it's anything to worry about? At the moment I'm connected to IRC, could that be where it's coming from?

Seems the firewalls doing it's job, thankfully. :]

Appreciate any input, thanks a lot

Pgh

Default Re: ZoneAlarm Warning

Some one tried to acces your computer.Zone alram blocked it.Or it was a popup blocked.
Example
Both ZoneAlarm Pro and the personal edition display a busybody stream of pop-up alert windows that are difficult to decipher. I was confounded when a cryptic message popped up on the screen and said, "The firewall has blocked Internet access to 209.1.108.12 (NetBIOS Session) from your computer [TCP Flags: S]."

OR It sounds like another PC in your house is trying to connect to your one. Find out which PC it is from the IP address (you can go to a command prompt and type ipconfig to find this) and see if there's any software on there that is poking around on the network. Alternatively, it could be that user trying to do something to the other PCs or possibly a virus trying to infect other machines on the network, so some checking may need to be done. Or it could just be windows trying to establish some network connectivity with any other machines it can see on the network.

Yes thanks for your reply Jelly Bean. I'm just trying to get to the source of the message, I've had it pop up around 4 or 5 times now and it's concerned me a little bit. I'll try your suggestions, and maybe disconnect from IRC momentarily to see if the warnings stop.

Hmm, I can't find anything in the cmd window using ipconfig, but it may have been my sisters laptop. She connects wirelessly to my router, i think she's off it now so I'll see if the messages stop. Once I find out what it is and if it's nothing to be concerned over, I'll just ignore it.

ZoneAlarm reports to have blocked 4 access attempts since it was installed, 4 of which were high-rated. All displayed the same message, and happened today in the space of like 10 minutes.

Yes it could be, I will have to check with her. I might have to take a look at her laptop and make sure she has a decent security solution as well. I installed an anti-virus a while back for her, as well as a couple of anti-spyware things, because she was browsing the net (with IE6!!!) without any protection at all. Norton had expired and she just left it like that...

Not very clever, especially when you're addicted to buying things online!

OK the warning seems to have stopped for now, I have a suspicion that it was my sis's laptop after all. I'm going to wait and see if it happens again when she's back on it, then ask to take a look for her.
