Default ZA vs KASPERSKY

I currently have an old version of Zonealarm as my firewall. which i have found to be good program and the latest version of kaspersky for antivirus which i also think is a good program.

However the latest versions of each software dont play well together (something to do with the unused antivirus software packaged with the free version of zonealarm that conflicts with kaspersky)

My question is which do people think is best paid for app as a single package ??

Zoneallarm firewall with built in antivirus or
Kaspersky antivirus with built in firewall

also aswell as one of those can i use a realtime spyware/malware program and if so which would you recommend.

thanks

Neither. If you want personal opinions, I would go for AVG Anti-Virus and AVG Anti-Spyware as an excellent combo. This would also give you your real-time protection too.

If you are using a router to connect to the outside world then that will give you a far better firewall than any software based one. If not then yes, Zonealarm will be fine.

I have to agree there.. AVG antispyware is only second to Spyware doctor..But spyware doc takes up a huge amoutn of resources AVG does not take up that much..Around 25 megs where spydoc takes almost 100 megs
