Default Comodo networking trouble.

I cannot figure out how to set Comodo firewall to allow file sharing between pc's on my router. I tried adding control rules with the IP addresses set to allowed, and I just am not getting it to work. I am not really understanding how the order of rules makes a difference either.

Another thread with some comodo problems mentioned using asterisks as wild cards for the last digits of the IP range, but it won't let me input an asterisk, only numeric value.

I looked around here and the comodo forum but couldnt find anything helpful.

Well the first question to ask is what version are you using? 2.x or 3.x as the interface is very different.

Secondly, Comodo typically works by setting up a trusted zone which would be the entire subnet your IP is on by default. I'd suggest you upgrade to 3 or re-install it if needs be and allow the firewall to do all the config work for you.

I did see that - but I also noted that the thread isn't closed and the user hadn't stated all was now ok - so I just threw in my 2p worth

I loved Sygate firewall until it disappeared and I have tried Comodo 3 with very mixed results and had eventualy to uninstall it. Oh boy, it left vast quatities id registry items and I will not use Comodo until they have a proper cleaner.
