Default [Resolved]Virus keeping Firewall Off

Hey all, im using Nod 32 (latest virus signatures) and i ran a exe which nod came up as "uninfected" and as soon as i ran it my windows firewall turned off and i cant turn it back on, im using zone now, but id rather not have a virus on there keeping the firewall off. Does anyone know of this problem and how to fix it?
Cheers

Hello there.

I have a few questions before I can better help you:
What is that program that you ran? What do you mean by "zone"? Do you get an error message when trying to turn on Windows Firewall?

sorry, i mean zone alarm..
i ran a keygen i downloaded, it came up as clean.
if i try and enable the firewall through control panel i get
"Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display the Windows Firewall settings"
i tried running pcpitstop's online scan on all my HDD's and they came out clean, NOD32 detected nothing. and now after I reset, my 1st network card doesnt work (i still get a connection light on the actual card) but windows doesnt detect it anymore.
Cheers

The keygen will be your problem, they are notorious for having trojans in them. As they are for used for the illegal registration of software, I cannot help you as it's against forum rules...
