Already ran that remover to get rid of norton in first place. That's why I was so sure that it is completely gone.

Have you looked in the registry for Symantec or Norton folders manually?? I am not saying this is the problem for sure-- but I've uninstalled Norton form quite a few PC 's-- ...and helped others with similar issues-- and I've often found Norton to be the culprit. Not 100% --but close to it. It could be that there are config issues with the new software -- I'm not that familiar with their suite ,either.

Go to start/run type regedit hit enter.
when the window pops up
go to HKEY CURRENT USER/SOFTWARE (click the little plus sign next to the items)
Scroll down in this menu looking for Norton or Symantec folders.
DO NOT touch anything until you post back here
I cannot stress this enough.
do the same search in HKEY LOCAL MACHINE looking for the same items. Leave the regedit window open while you post.
