Default [Answered] Intrusion attempts

Hello...I am looking for some help. Twice tonight my Norton's Internet Security saud it has blocked an intrusion attempt. I have nevere really had it pop up like that and tell me it has blocked any intrusions. I am not sure if I was doing anything to cause it. I was doing my usual on line surfing and checking mail with aim and all that. This is what it blocked:

Intrusion: HTTP Embed Tag NPDSPlay DLL BO
Intruder: view.atdmt.com(65.203.229.43)(http(80))
Protocol: TCP
Attacked IP: localhost
Attacked Port: 3699

Is there anything to this? Anything I need to do?
PLEASE ADVISE! Thanks a lot!

Hya Jimmy.

Looks like your firewall just did its job, and nothing to worry about. Have a look here for some more info:

HTTP Embed Tag NPDSPlay DLL BO

Hey Joe5...i am a little concerned again because twice again today norton's has notified me that it blocked that intrusion, the same one i listed above. also, i notice that if i have ewido open and active, at times i will look at the icon at the bottom right and it will be inactive, and i hadn't swtiched it off. Should i be worried about this specific intrusion? is it correlated with ewido being turned off? is there anything i can do to figure out why this intrusion is all of a sudden attempting to attack when i never had problems with prior to 2 days ago? just want to know if there are any other measures i can take oertaining to this specific intrusion! Thank you...

Do you keep Windows up to date, and what browser do you use?

If Windows is updated, and you use I.E. then your pc isn't even vulnerable to the attack.
