I switched to router from direct modem dsl because my mom bought a new laptop(with WLAN) and she wants a high-speed connection but not stealing someone's, I just wanna know which one is good/best because when I connect(laptop) to my SSID its unsecured. Any tips guys?

Do you mean that you need someone to recommend a good router for your mom's laptop? I do have a few recommendations, but will the price take a major role in your decision?

here's what happened: my computer is using a dsl then i switch it to a linksys router and put wireless security in it, so my mom gets her internet (laptop) from my computer/router

So you're looking for a good software firewall to complement the wireless security?
