Ok so I am trying to install Zone Alarn Free but it keeps giving me this error message and I don't know how to fix it.

Setup is unable to log into the truevector service. Install cannot continue without logging into the truevector service.
Please use the service manager to shut down the true vector service then restart the installer program

Do you have another instance of ZA running? If so bring up your task manager and close down truevector from there and try installing. Or uninstall ZA from add remove programs and reinstall. seems maybe it installed half way.

zone alarm is completely uninstalled, i am trying to re-install it when I get this message.

your right it is not in there.. Have you rebooted your pc since uninstallinn ZA? And you have some unkown programs running in there as well. I would download hijackthis in my sig and post a log as well.
