hello, i recently got my computer fixed and the person installed nod32 antivirus on my system, i though it was pretty good of a program but i had my old zonealarm security suite and that had a really good firewall, so i installed that and i disabled nod32 from msconfig so it doesnt run at start but now sometimes a zonealarm window comes and tells me that the application "nod32" is conflicting with the program. does anyone know how i can fix this and how can i disable the SYSTEM proccessor thats for nod32 that run sat start of windows no matter if i disable nod32 to not to start at startup.
another general quation...is nod32 better than the new bitdefender 9 proffesional plus? will bitdefender work fine with zonealarm ? or should i stick with nod.

P.S. on firefox i cant see the emotions of this forum move or any emotion on any forum move....anyone tell me how to fix it?

Do you mind if we start at the beginning. I want to make sure that you get the correct information.
What Operating System are you working with? If you have the ZA Security Suite, I am curious as to why your computer tech installed another anti virus software on your machine.

Let's start there before addressing your other questions.

Also, in regards to your emoticons not working with FireFox, it would be best to start a different post under "Internet Stuff" so as not to complicate this thread.

Ali, could you post a HijackThis log here, I think nod32 is still trying to run at start up. If you don't have it you can download it here http://castlecops.com/modules.php?na...ds&d_op=search

Make sure that you install it into a folder of it's own if you don't already have it installed.

Also, please make sure that all of your files and folders are showing by right clicking on My Computer, clicking on Explore, then click on Tools, Folder Options, View. Then make sure to select Display contents of Systems folders and Show Hidden Files and Folders, then deselect Hide Extensions for Known File Types and Hide Protected Operating Systems Files.

Then run HijackThis choosing the top option to save a log and post it here.

Have you tried completly uninstalling NOD32? As having 2 AV's are going to conflict one another alway's..
