Default [Information/Pending] PC Cillin Internet Security and PDF Files

From time to time I send to a friend in Australia a newsletter in PDF format.

He has recently informed me that after installing 'PC Cillin Internet Security' on his computer he can no longer receive email attachments in PDF format.

Does anyone know how to get around this? Are there adjustments that can be made to the 'Setup' or 'Preferences' of 'PC Cillin Internet Security' that will allow him to receive PDF attachments?

Any suggestions or help would be very much appreciated.

Do you know what his current settings are? Might help narrow down the problem. :-)

I have never used this product but the setting must be within a preferences menu. In the short term, why doesn't he disable PC Cillin when he knows that he is expecting a PDF attached email - then back on when it's received?

Hey Guys and Gals,

This thread was left unfinished. The online guide for Trend Micro's PC Cillin, is actually very good, and the user with the program should spend some time becoming familiar with his utility.

Here is a possible resolution to the specific problem at hand.

Adding/Blocking Specific Programs w/PC Cillin.

As always, if you are having the same or similar difficulties to the ones in this thread, please try all of the suggestions within this thread first. If you continue to have the issue, please start your own thread in the Operating System Forum, appropriate to your computer.

Look forward to seeing you in the forums,

TTFN
