I too was struck with one of the many fake antivirus programs. On most of the computers I work on, I was able to remove antivirus pro with using malwarebytes or a few other programs. In my case I could not run any spyware programs, system restore did nothing and I too couldn't access add/remove programs, taskmanager etc. I decide to try to manually remove this "Beast" so started with a search. "This was for windows xp pro" When you search make sure to tick show hidden files and folders and select C: as to where to look. I knew this was a program so I entered the word .exe and begain the search. Sure enough I found a strange program that had been installed one hour prior to my search, with the name LUOBK. I noticed the date and time 11/07/09 8:12am .. Looking down the long list I noticed several entries that were exactly the same date and time, so I right clicked on each one and deleted them. After about fifteen minutes of going down the long list, I had all files for that date and time deleted. I closed out the search window and immediatly emptied the recycle bin. I did a reboot and had no more popups of the virus and could open taskmanager, add/remove programs and access the internet without being redirected to porn sites. I had a few issues like clicking on a site to go to in Google, but I was redirected to a different site. I have ran avg free edition for years and it has been better than some of the other antivirus programs. I decided that I needed to purchase the full version of AVG 9, which I did, 55 dollars a year or 81 for two years was cheap for the results that I got. After installing and using the AVG firewall and all ofher utilities that come with the full version, I did my first scan and couldn't believe all of the garbage that was found. After rebooting I began to run tests, going to places that I had just went to on the net and had absolutely no problems. Also after one day of running AVG full version, my computer is back to being as fast as when I built it. I wanted to let others know what worked for me with this fake virus. When you search, the name of the file may be different than mine, but I believe if you do the search right when you discover you have the virus and it's pop ups, you can figure out which files to delete by looking at the date and time when you do your search.
If this method helps one person, I will be happy that I made this post!

Good Luck!
