My friend rang me up and said that his computer detected a "Win32.exe" now after doing some research I found it was a trojan. He also has two anti-viruses , Mcafee and AVG.

It told him to reboot his computer and it crashed so he rebooted in safe mode but when it gets to the windows blue login screen it crashes.

I plan to go and see him tommorow and see the damage for myself and he also doesn't have any spare computers.

the main things i have tried to get theses programs to open is re-installing which didn't work & i haven't tried it with all the programs just one (Firefox) there is still windows live messenger effected by this, safari that i installed a while ago isn't effected and thats the way i'm posting on here, i have removed a virus with mcafee that i think was causing the problem and it hasn't resolved the problem of the programs not starting up, the other problem is that i have tried to System restore & no luck, all the dates that have been set were reset and i have no point to which i can restore.

if anyone could help me with this problem please post & give me a hand, there is no spyware/malware of viruses on my computer but there is still this problem, half-way through a scan with MalwareBytes the process of MB was ended and i cannot not open it because it says "i do not have the right permissions to do it", there is no other problem except the programs not opening, usually when i have viruses i have some slowness on my pc but its all like it should be, no programs or files deleted & nothing coming up (anymore) on my virus scanning.

The icons on the desktop all change to the IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide red gecko for about 1/2 a second, the screen freezes, and moments later, in the tray an icon pops up.

the icon I'm concerned with is the one next to the itunes icon, the little "reel" image.

I need help identifying what that icon is, what the possible causes of this are, and what steps if any people have as suggestions.

I believe it's spyware or some other malware on the machine, but I've used Malware bytes, spydoctor, and spybot and none of them detected anything unusual.

The issue started when a Chris Hunt from Swansea posted infected videos.Then a Dai Barrett and his daughter also posted the infected videos.Why because they clicked Chris Hunts videos.How many others have clicked them I do not know.

This now starts all the issues.

What is happening now is:

Example: Dai barrett posts four of the infected videos to four of his friends.They in turn click the video link attached.Infact Dai did not send the videos.

Then the four friends who clicked the video unbeknown to them the video is sent to four of there friends who click the attached link and so it goes on.

Now the effect of this is we have Chris Hunt,Dai Barrett and his daughter keighly Barrett infected plus there friends.

Now myself and many others are receiving messages in our inboxes,these messages contain a text like hey your booty looks good in this and a link is also attached.I do not open these messages I just click spam button.

From Chris Hunts profile is sent 20 of these infected spam messages to people on his friends list.Then if each of these 20 friends click the link they then unknown to them send to each of there 20 friends this spam infected hack link.And so it continues.

Now Dai Barrett and his daughter have also unknowingly done this also.

So god knows how many people have been infected and hacked.

The only advice I can give is to update and run your antivirus program and run it.Although depending how your infected your AV will not fix the issues.

I have offered several forums including this one for any malware infections you suspect you have or you do have.Get the trained people to fix the issues.

I have advised DO NOT click any links or videos on your profile sent by friends or any sent your inbox untill this issue is resolved.I do not know how far this has spread.

I have warned the three named above to have there system cleaned or reformatted but they refuse so the infection spreads.

Has anyone got a clue what is going on?

I am overloaded with complaints and cannot deal with so many infected computers.

Is it possible there IPs have been taken control of or there wireless routers?

I was happy with Malware Bytes until their latest update froze my PC. In the past I've tried Spybot S&D but got rid of it when they updated it's interface and I could no longer understand it. I've also tried AdAware Anniversary Edition but I wasn't convinced it stops everything from getting through.

Recently, a friend of mine downloaded a small file from this exact site http://www.thekeys.ws/?look=driver+checker+serial+number&type=serials[/URL]
to my computer, ignoring the explorer nodification about how dangerous the site is.
He thought that the file was too small to be a virus , and even if it was a virus, my panda antivirus could stop it. He told me that the file was executing for 1-2 seconds and wrote something about c/documents and settings/...
so it might have changed something there.
The virus, or whatever this is made my computer restart instantly and i couldn't start the computer from then. it opened until the windows loading logo, and after it told me that it couldn't start and told me if i wanted to start in safe mode and all that stuff.
I don't download windows security updates , because i have a very very slow internet connection, so i have security holes, and panda was not fully updated.
The problem is that the technician came, and was working for about 3 hours on the computer and couldn't fix it. Do you have any ideas? If so, please answer me.
Because i am not in from my computer (mine has a bit of a problem right now )i can only log in for a little time per day, so if it is possible, please e-mail any possible solutions on *email deleted*
