Open: Final Fantasy XIV Benchmark Program

I, like many other ATI owners it seems, am having trouble running the Final Fantasy XIV Benchmark program. It will boot up and when I click start it will freeze and go to the "windows is searching for a solution" error message. I followed the steps a number of times from the previous Thread:

but to no avail. I downloaded the Driver Sweeper and cleaned out my ATI section and rebooted. When windows started up the screen resolution was all messed up, which i attributed to the ATI section being wiped by the driver sweeper, and reinstalled my ATI driver update(radeon hd 4870 Catalyst Software Suite 10.8). When i reinstalled the driver update my screen resolution still wasn't able to go to 1920x1200 (maxes at 1600x1200) and the benchmark program still wouldn't run. I did a system restore so I can try again. Am I missing a step somewhere?

OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Intel(R)Core(TM)i7 920
8.00 GB RAM
ATI Radeon hd 4870

Power went off while installing! Can't Fix!

I was installing Batman Arkham Asylum when my power went out right in the middle.

Now I can't install it, the install button is gray when I run the disc!

I searched the registry but I could only find a single entry for Eidos studios and Batman but deleting it did nothing.

I have been waiting so long to play this stupid game I cannot believe there is no simple contingency for this sort of thing; blackouts happen all the time!

I will try and do my best to explain the problem best as possible.

When I tried to start the game this evening: Kane & Linch 2: Dog Days.
It ran stuck after the loading screen. So I did CTRL+ALT+DEL, and closed the process and rebooted my pc. Then I tried to start it again and now it got stuck at the main menu. Did same procedure to close after that.

Then I started: Call of duty modern warfare 2. This game got stuck/unresponsive right when it started (didn't even open the main menu or any thing.)
After that I tried World of Warcraft, Same problem also stuck/unresponsive(Launcher does work).
At last I tried: Battlefield Bad company 2, same problem...

But this morning all my games still worked without problems, and I didn't instal or change any thing on my computer what (I think) could have caused this.

I've searched the internet for this problem but got no solution or any thing. So I hope some one from here can help me.

Freezing PC

Hello, I've recently joined this forum because I have a very frustrating issue with my PC. Particularly when I play games on it. The problem is that it freezes, it just stops at the last image on screen and does nothing until I restart. At first it would freeze about once a day, but during the last few months the problem has gotten so bad that it freezes after 10 to 15 minutes of playing. I play games such as Fifa 08, Fifa Online, truck simulator games, nothing my PC can't handle, even though it isn't a top notch PC.

Sometimes it freezes outside of games too, when I run more demanding applications. I think the problem may be caused by overheating, but I'm not sure. None of the following has worked: Re-installing the windows, defragmenting, deleting everything on my HDD and installing the OS, using software such as tuneUP Utilities to fix errors and clean the registry. My PC is practically unusable outside of web browsing and yahoo messenger :(
Please help me with any info and suggestion, I would be very grateful for it. Thanks.

Ok here are my PC specs:
Windows 7 32-bit
Graphics Card:Ati Radeon HD 4850
Processor:AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.20 GHz
Ram:4Gb ram.

So,my problem is that everytime I play a game it constantly lags.For example Left 4 Dead 2.My pc can run that but even on the lowest settings it still lags.
It is very annoying,the game is unplayable.I tried Defrag,but no results.And this
happens with almost all my games not only L4D2.

Please help.#!#

Oblivion crashes every time I launch it HELP!

Ok so last week I went and brought the Oblivion GOTY edition after having the game previously but losing it after I moved last year. I installed the game but it keeps crashing every time I launch it. I updated all my drivers have the latest version of direct X uninstalled and reinstalled the game but nothing seems to work.

I get this error message come up with the non responsive program thing:

I shouldn't have any problems with getting the game to work because I had this game before on this very computer and it worked perfectly fine. :S

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. :)

well as the title said id run fallout 3 and get and loading cursor about 10 seconds later it would crash to the desktop with a message fallout 3 has stopped responding. ive tried various fixes and none of them have worked....

Solved: Minecraft

There is a game that you can get from Minecraft, this game is very simple and doesnt require much as far as gaming tech. The maps are Randomly generated, and you basically go around and mine and build a home, to protect you from the zombies that come out at night...
I have a problem though, while the game loads up it stops at about a quater of the way to finished. It says it has finished loading, but does not continue with loading up the game.
Any Help would be great. I would ask the person who made the game, but he does not offer support, and i dont know the right questions to ask.

Broken Sword Angel of Death Installation

Hi ,

I bought about a few weeks ago a game called "Broken Sword : The Angel of Death" , and I tried installing it , Every time I try to install it I get the error

"An Error (-5006 : 0x8000ffff has occured while running the setup.
Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed any other applications.
If this error still occurs, Please contact your vendor: THQ (Http://www.THQ.com)"

I have tried many ways to fix this - all unsuccesful.

This error happens in the same place and same time everytime ,
1. I insert the disk into my drive
2. Wait for the autorun to start
3. A menu appears , with options for installing the game , direct X and quiting the setup
4. I click on Install
5. An install shield installer appears and almost instantly I get the error.

I have installed the game using the same disk on my laptop running XP (which lags a lot) , I also installed the game onto a another machine running Windows 7 64Bit and Avast Free Edition antivirus , and it installed and played fine.

So the disk cannot be faulty.

I have contacted THQ , one of thier customer service members sent me an email on what to do , but after 4 emails back and forth he stopped replying.

I have tried running in Safe Mode and installing that way and I get the same error , I have tried installing it onto my laptop then transferring the registry keys into my computer along with the program data but to no success.

I have also tried installing it Windows XP mode , but I learnt that was futile as it wont allow me to run 3D games at all.

Using Ctrl + alt + delete I set the affintiy to only 2 cores and checking for any other services but again no effect. I also disabled my Antivirus but it didnt help.

Edit : I can only think of doing a dual boot , having 7 and XP but I was put off it because I should of installed XP first , and once I installed xp I kept reading about having to use EasyBCD to repair the boot file because XP overwrites 7 , even then some people lost their ability to boot to 7.

I should of mentioned first that I googled the error , but I couldn't find anything related , and since this game isnt that well known I couldn't find much info on it.

COD5 Vista Slow

I bought cod waw pc I checked all the system requirements and they seemed fine. I installed it onto my computer and started the game. When I started campaign the video ran a bit slow, but I ignored it. When I started the mission it started to run really slow. Any ideas?

Avatar the game .exe

When i installed and tried to play avatar the game it is not responding.when i opened the exe there will be picture of avatar and when i opened task manager it is showing not responding even after reinstalling it

I have recently installed Railworks on my pc and every time I go to load it up I get some error messages....

1. Visual C# command line has stopped working.

2.Microsoft Net framework unhandled exception has occured in your application cannot find file C:\users\myname\appdata\local\temp\imenra9.dll ( the last section changes every time I try and load the game)

3.net framework as no.2 with the unhandled exception but under that it says index was outside bounds of array.

Any help on this would be really appreciated.

Hi,
I just bought the game from steam and everytime i try to start the game the logo comes up and then a FATAL ERROR message pops-up saying:

I looked every forum i could find and nothing solves my problem, I play on my 52" Tv screen and i think it has something to do with my problem please help me.

My specs are :
Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz 3.20GHz
Ram: 8.00GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System (windows 7)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT230

The Sims 3 Patch Problems

I got a problem here, i've downloaded the RELOADED TO RAZOR and almost every patch now. after hours of trying to patch to 1.0.632 or 1.2.7 everytime i patch it pops up "setup has detected that no version of Sims 3 is installed" maybe it's because my copy doesn't have the same installer as reloaded or razor so the patch doesn't detects the game because it's not an original installer??

Is there a way to change the patch install path (installshield) by registery key or something?
HELP PLEASE.
