The problem seemed to begin when in the middle of a online game I kept dropping with Fatal Error Message.



Then I get a message when trying log into the bnet sever for online gaming (frozen throne in drive). I get a message mentioning "I must update my patch". I was bewildered because i just purchased the game a week prior. So instead of going to Bnet for the patch I uninstall all files of warcraft 3 for reinstallation. When I install the first disc (Reign Of Chaos) it loads with no complications except once when I received this Error 131!



Reign Of Chaos is installed and can play online with no complications.

When trying to install Frozen Throne I encounter another Error 131:



I have 2 Frozen Throne disc and this Error #131 happens when installing with them both.

Btw: Even when RofC is installed successfully once FT receives the Error 131 I have to reinstall RofC again to.

I forced the pc to turn off in the off button, and when i turned it on i tryed to install the game again but it installs the first part, and then it stucks, the borderlands window appears in the task menu but when i select it so i can open it it does nothing, and so i cant install.

but my real problem, wich i think that is causing the error, is that as i closed the instalation during middle part, it staied in "uninstall or edit program" , the place where you uninstal programs, in this case windows vista 32mb you go to My computer- and in the top there is that option.
SO as i was saying, it was there, but when i try to uninstall, to remove it from there, it just doesnt work becouse it doesnt detect the files that were supose to be deleted, te files that werent exctracted.
so the option of uninstaling keeps there but i cant uninstall, and i cant install neither becouse it now doesnt install, does someone know a solution? how do i remove the uninstall option from there?, if it keeps giving me an error ,becouse i dont even have the files there to delete

During cutscenes and intros on games such as call of duty 4, fall out 3, operation flashpoint, empire total war and batman the sound chops a lot. This isnt is case with video, will play 1080p mkv's with no probs. Every runs smoothly during game play!

System isnt so great but will do for now, running XP SP3 on a p4 2.8, 2gb ram, ati hd 4670 1gb agp which I just got. also the screen seems to flicker a little during game play, I'm running on a 42" HDTV at 1080p and a HP monitor which is also 1080. flickering appears on both. I've forced the monitor at 50hz as it flickers all the time at 60hz which is the recomemded settings for it. I can live with this but the audio thing is really bugging me.

I've recently installed a new hard drive and installed my system from nothing so everything is freash and all driveers, sound, video etc are all up to date. I'm using the realtek on board sound card but this is also the case when uising ati's hdmi sound out put and even my NI Audio Kontrol 1 with it set to mulitmedia and gaming.

With this i believed i would get a fair amount of performance from my computer, and to be honest it just seems like something is limiting it and i have no idea what.

I have no chance of running a game like Crysis or Empire total war(even world of warcraft, in certain areas) with all the options on max, and expect it to run at a "playable" speed.

All my drivers seem to be up-to-date, so i doubt it would be a driver problem.

Is my computer meant to be struggling with theses games? for example on Empire total war with everything maxed (even if i change the unit size to normal) i end up at around 10-15 FPS.

Any help you guys can give me is very appreciated i have no idea whats going on .The only thing i can think of is my OS, or my lack of space( i have a 150gb hard drive with about 20gigs of free space)

The first time it happened with Batman: Arkham Asylum (which i bought), i didn't download the patch and i was positive that the computer crushed only because the game was poorly programmed (meaning full of bugs) when it was released, I didn't have the nerves to try and figure out whats wrong (the game just didn't worth it). Surprisingly the next 3 games i bought also caused the same problem, after playing a while the picture froze a little smudged, with a disturbing sound and the computer would just shut off. I'm referring to games such as The Sims 3, Need For Speed Shift Majesty 2 (which looks fairly easy to run).The computer doesn't shut off under any circumstances but when I'm playing games on it. I never encountered a problem when a games just make my computer crush like that, I suspect it has something to do with a hardware malfunction and i can really use some help.#!#
