Question [Fixed] Outlook Express Error Message

When I close Outlook Express I get the following message:

msimn.exe-application error
The instruction at”0x77f51d24”referenced memory at “0x007f47c8”. The memory could not be “written”.
Click on OK to terminate the program

What's causing it and how do I stop this happening?
Thanks

This sounds like a corrupted Outlook Express profile. Do you know how to backup all of your emails and such? If you do backup everything in Outlook Express and create a new account and delete the old one. If you do not know how, please let me know and I will get you the instructions.

Regards,
Adam

Hi Adam
Sorry for the delay getting back.
I've not had to replace my Outlook Express profile so I'd be grateful for some instruction.
Regards,
Ian

No problem, How to back up and to restore Outlook Express data. First, follow all the backup instructions. Then make a new account and follow all of the restore instructions. Then, try out the new account and see if it works correctly. If so, delete the old account.

Regards,
Adam

I'll do that tomorrow when I don't have tired eyes and will be less likely to make mistakes. I'll let you know how it goes...

Ian
