I recently updated to the latest live messenger and now that i have i do not get the mail alerts from my hotmail and when i click the mail icon outlook opens up/ How do i change it so that hotmail opens up?

right click on your start button and go to properties click on start menu tab and go to customise there are 2 drop down boxs you can change it there then click apply
