Default [Pending] MIssing emails in Outlook Express
Hello... some of the *.dbx files have become corrupted in the outlook express store folder. THe problem is the outlook express store fld contains data in the folders but when you open Outlook Express those folders contain no messages.

I have searched the net the only solutions seem to be to purchase software. Is there any alternate solutions or do you know of any free software to repair corrupted outlook express folders/messages... thanks in advance!

See ... Tucows Downloads - Recover My Email for Outlook 2.1.1.5 Demo Software

According to the information, "Download and run in evaluaiton mode and preview recovered messages, folders and attachments."

You might be able to annotate who sent the message(s) and the subject line and then email the sender a request to resend the email without actually recovering the old messages.

In the future you might consider backing up your email folder on a regular schedule.

I have heard there is a free Microsoft Outlook express tool that will recover emails from corrupted *.dbx files does anyone know where I can download it from ??? I have used other free software that are either trials or demos which limit the amount of emails you can recover...

I think the tool your talking about is for outlook and PST file I'm not aware of one for outlook express
