Hi Math,

The embedded Windows version of outlook does not have a repair feature like the one that comes with Microsoft Office. You can re-install, but not repair. This particular error may need a re-install, however, there are many things that could potentially cause this problem.

- Your mailbox may be too large. It is good practice not to use your mailbox and any folders contained within your mailbox as a storage for attachments. Save off your attachments, and delete either the e-mail, or the attachment within the e-mail. Once you have done this, go to File, Folder, followed by Compact All Folders

- An e-mail or folder maybe corrupt. Can you access all your e-mails and folders?

- AVG can sometimes cause this problem when scanning archives is enabled. Turn off AVG archive scanning to see if this has any effect.

- Malware (Follow PCHF Prework, and post an Hijackthis log back here).

- Failing that, your last option will be to export your addressbook, and copy all your e-mails out of Outlook, re-install, and copy back in. Outlook e-mails can be used like Windows explorer, you can drag and drop your e-mails into folders within Explorer.

have you tried removing it for add/remove programs select windows components untick the outlook express restart the pc. May be worth removing registry enrties that refer to directdbnotifywndproc then follow the same step to reinstall it. This may work no prommises though but backup your regisrty first just to be safe.
