I followed your instructions to the letter LGW. That Reg Supreme Pro found tons of stuff to fix including damaged and obsolete files.
I wish there were a freeware program that good, but I guess you only get what you pay for.
Anyway, since following your instructions my computer runs better than it ever did before in everything but that email problem. It's like my ex-wife, it just wants to "haunt" me!
But that's okay. Like my ex-wife, I can "ignore" it! [she's a stalker!] LOL!
I want to thank for you all your help and concern with my PC problem. You have been great!

Doctor G

LOL! If you only KNEW how funny and apropos that is to me today. LOL!

You know there are only two programs that I pay for, one is RegSupremePro, I am so impressed with how well it works, I paid the $12.99 or whatever it is, for each of my home PCs.

However, I am really irked by this continued problem with your Yahoo mail. You got the ymmapi.dll file to download, and there were no errors reported?

Might be time to talk to Yahoo directly, are you still getting exactly the same error? If so, I will contact them myself, and see if we can't get some assistance.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Good morning LGW,
Yes the email error is still the same, when I click on an "email us" link on a any random web site you can hear it "click' like it is thinking about working but then the error window pops up. Hmmm, although I do remember once or maybe twice, the pop up window said something like: "Your default email is not installed correctly". But that hardly ever comes up. Uh, Oh, Could that be a new clue to this mystery?
As far as trying to talk to Yahoo, I would not go through all that trouble, but you must be a "proffessional problem solver" to want to go to that effort. God bless you! Where have you been all my life! LOL!

I was at the Mall the other day and stopped in to look at a few different 'I-Macs', very impressive. Do you have an opinion on them?

Keep looking up! Life is good!

Hmmmm, Professional Problem Solver, I like it, wonder how much it pays? LOL.

I just don't like to leave any avenues unchecked when trying to resolve a problem.

Ah the old, "Should I switch to Apple?" question . Personally, I find Macs very non-intuitive, since most of the time, on just about EVERYTHING in my world, I figure things out rather than reading the manual, I like things to be intuitive. That being said, I know many folks who as MAC was there first experience with computers, find them to be extremely easy to use, that goes for adults as well as children.

There is no getting around the fact that they are expensive, compared to what you can find in PCs. But they are ready to rock and roll right out of the box. They are extremely self contained, and they are reputed to be extremely reliable. I have no experience with their level of customer service so I cannot speak to that. You will find considerably less available help, but if it doesn't break, you may not need it.

If I were you, I would do some more research and look into the pro's and con's of the Mac world, to see if you want to embark on that journey, . It may be perfect for you.

I'm still perfectly happy to try with Yahoo for you. Just let me know. Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Hey Dr. G,

Do me a favor please, PM me with your Yahoo account information, (I do not need your password), along with the error messages, just so I don't have to read through the whole thread again. Then I will contact Yahoo support.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN
