Default Lost pictures in forwarded email

Using XP SP2 with OE 6 email. When I forward emails with pictures, I get this message:

"One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found. When you send this message these pictures will not be included. Are you sure you want to send this message"?

Are the pictures actually not being seen by the receiver of my email? How do I correct this problem?

Welcome to the PC Help Forum leeranger!

I believe it's because the pictures are not stored as a "local" file on your computer.

I'm not too sure with Outlook Express - I haven't personally used it in over 4 years...I user Mozilla Thunderbird and it works great

Hopefully someone else will be here to answer this question properly for you.

Hi there, here is the solution:

1) Open Outlook Express and click "Tools" at the top of the window.
2) Select "Options..." and then click the "Send" tab.
3) Click the "HTML Settings" button to the right of the "Mail Sending Format" sub-category. An "HTML Settings" pop-up should now appear.
4) From within the "HTML Settings" pop-up, uncheck the "Send pictures with message" box.
5) Click OK.

The images will be sent. Test it by sending yourself a message

Before or after you send the pictures? Do you have the option to "Download" the images once you have received them? - it's a security feature
