Default Outlook Express Compacted Messages

Is there any way I could restore or retrieve folders/files that Outlook Express (6) has compacted.

I don't usually click yes to this command, but I wasn't thinking so was caught off guard. Folders starting with letter P to Z have been emptied.

I would be eternally grateful if someone could help me.

Hey there papeter and welcome to the forum.

When you compacted the folders/files it should have created a .DBX file on your drive, this should contain all the emails it compacted.

You should be able to use a program called DBXtract to recover these emails, you can download it from here:
