Default Hotmail login from Mozilla 1.7

As of yesterday I can no longer log in to my Hotmail account via Mozilla 1.7. The login screen comes up okay, but once I've entered my information and hit return, instead of bringing me into my Hotmail account, it simply brings up a new blank sign-in screen. Note: I can still log in to Hotmail via Internet Explorer, but I hate Explorer, so if someone can please tell me how to fix this Mozilla problem - which has never happened before by the way - I'd certainly appreciate it.

1.7 is slightly old...are you considering changing to Mozilla Firefox?
Maybe also you can try clearing your browser stored information, like cookies, etc.

Howdy stevephil and welcome to PCHF,
Lappy is correct, you could use a program like cleanup to get rid of the cookies easier. You prbly have a bad one in there thats all.

Default Is it possible that cleaning caused the problem?

Thanks guys, but I've been cleaning like crazy the last couple of weeks. I've used 5-6 Spyware removers/cleaners and freed up over 2.5 Gigs on my hard drive and eliminated some trojans. I think I've got it about as clean as it can get, but I wonder if something might have been removed that shouldn't have been in the process?

I'd suggest trying Mozilla Firefox, try if that works.

Default Firefox worked

I downloaded Firefox 1.5 - brand new as of November 30 - and it solved the problem. All is well. Thanks for the suggestion.
