Default [ANSWERED] Spam Blockers

Hi Everyone,

I have started my day off with a shock. I just set up my moms email from our new ISP. I went to they're (RoadRunner) help site and went to web mail to get server adressess and noticed that there were already 91 messages. Since we just switch to this ISP and I was just now getting around setting up email I decided to see what these were and where they came from. I am glad I did!! My mom is very religous and 75% of the messages had titles that would make a sailor blush! I deleted them and called the isp about a spam blocker. They have one but it is a package with antivirus. We are very happy with our antivirus software and dont want to change it. So, my question is this: Can anyone recommend a stand alone spam blocker to use with Outlook Express?

I look Forward to hearing your opinions on this matter

Both. Free would be nice but I dont want my mom seeing headlines like "Do you need a **** buddy" so if I gotta spend a little so be it.

Okey dokey.

Cheap & rated well : OnlyMyEmail Personal

Bit more expensive: Qurb 3.0

BIG comparison list here

Let us know what you decide to go with

Hi there T4T.

I don't use a spam blocker myself since my isp does a good and free job at it , but a quick google search brings up many free outlook spam blockers:

thanx guys trying lockspam pro from google post on this pc and my account and qurb on moms for the money it is worth it to me to make sure she gets emails only from people on her address book as she only emails members of her church and our family. Since I have been using this site I have learned alot (I read other topics while waiting for reply) I am very glad I found this site and recommend it to all my friends. I think I am gonna post my hijack log and see what you guys can do with that. You all are AWESOME!
