Yeah, it's essencially just colouring it in bit by bit - that's the only way you'd be able to do it.

The other way to get around this problem as obviously the pictures aren't black and white when they're on your phone is to copy them directly.

Just connect your phone to the pc in data transfer mode - then click My Computer. You will see your phone listed as a drive. Browse it to find your photo's, then copy them across to your c drive. They should stay color and not lose any quality.
