Thanks for your all your help.

I have a pair of gunnar optiks. In short, I don't think theres much better in terms of lcd glasses. Sadly, these too have had no effect on lessening the headache I get. The lenses are coated with anti-glare and melanin compounds, sure my eyes feel fresher but the headache remains the same.

I definatley now think that this has something to do with the refresh rate and I might purchase the best in terms of that. Currently I suspect it is the 120hz screens. Also, I read there are different types of lcd panel. i.e IPS, VA, and TN based LCD panel technology. I wonder whether or not this would make a difference? Such a shame OLEDs are still in there infancy otherwise I would have bought one of these.

If all the above fails I guess I have to endure it further until a time when new technologies become mainstream. I guess I am just one of the unlucky ones, to have been cursed with such an annoying illness ( I say illness because thats simply what it is, sadly it seems there's no known cure!).

Thanks for your help and support!

Get your eyes tested by a good optometrist as soon as possible, explain to him / her the problem you are having with eye strain and headaches.

It's a waste of time fiddling around with monitor resolutions, I have have been down this path when I had cataracts. Nothing worked on a LCD to make things clearer.

I was replacing my bi-focals every 18 months till the cataracts were removed...

Hi

Thanks for the response. BUT....

I have had my eyes tested by a good optician. Not only did he fit new lenses in, I also had them modified with an anti-fatigue coating. Now my eyesight is perfect. My headache is the same.

This is nothing to do with my eyesight.

Scroll down to the bottom of this page and look to the left at a drop down that says PCHF, hit the drop down and chose PC Help Forum Dark.

See how that is on your eyes, you can always change it back if you want.

If the headaches persist, ask your optician and or your doctor for a referal to a Ophthalmologist, as you may have other problems with your eyes...
