Hello Zaoneady, Welcome back to the forum!
As far as I am aware, the 4870 is better than the 4850. As far as the 9800gx is concerned though I don't know. I have marked this as open to encourage the hardware guru's here to come and take a look ![]() Regards, Smokeycheech

You seem to be a bit misinformed. Between the 4870 and 4850, the 4870 is better.
But for the other card, the one you've listed as "9800gx", could you re-check what card it is because I don't think that's a graphics card. I think you could be talking about either a 9800GX2, a 9800GTX+, a 9800GTX, or a 9800GT. Another card that should be around that price range is the GTX 260 Core 216, which is a little better than the 4870, so if you can find that for not too much more, id op for that card instead. |

Hi Zaineady!
People are still paying for DDR3 memory at a premium... if your budget is 500 Euros I would recommend going to a DDR2 system for now - the higher end quad core CPU's can handle applications just fine. Also, do you need a new harddrive, PSU or sound card? Thanks for your patience, Andrew |
