Default Building PC

Hello. The motherboard on my computer got messed up some while ago so I'm gona have to buy new one, but i eventually want to upgrade the whole system. At the minute i have a Pn532 sli se deluxe gaming m/board, P4, 2x Nvidia 7600 gt, 2x 512mb ram.... pretty ****.

anyway i wana get a new motherboard first, preferably one with 3 to 4 video card slots, and one that will still fit the 7600 gt. i also need new ram and a new processor. I have a general idea of what to buy, but i dont get all the different types of ram you can get and what type of processor i can buy. It would be for gaming so i want it plenty powerful when im done.

If anyway could point me in the right direction for a good set up it would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Hey all,

I think it's going to be hard to find a motherboard with 3 to 4 graphics cards, why do you need this many?

And as Overclocked For life asked a budget will be very useful.

Thanks,

upgrader

My mobo, an eVGA nForce 780i, has 3 PCI-e slots. It's roughly £150-£200. It'll hold your 7600GT and up to 8GB PC2 6400 RAM (it can hold other speeds but I can't remember which ones). It's built specially for SLi and it's socket LGA775 (Intel processors), supports 45nm technology so, if you can afford it, it can hold a Yorkfield XE (>3GHz, quad core, 45nm, super overclockable).
