I would definetly go for the 4870, coupled with either Vista 32bit Home Premium, or Ultimate. Premium is much cheaper. XP 32bit is always good, but DO NOT get xp 64 bit, there is virtually no support for it.

om looking into a new gpu and been summing them all up for a while now and decided to go for Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4870 PCS Extreme 512MB GDDR5 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail which looks awsome and outperforms 9800gtx+ which i was going for for me its a first time ati i have always been nvidia fanboy but this looks to good

Sound good. Also, I just noticed, I wouldnt get the PQI MEmory, instead I would get this OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2 (OCZ2P800R22GK)
