Ive just finished building my new pc and i have powered it up but there is no display or beeps when i switch it on. All the fans are working including the heatsink fan. The computer also keeps resetting every around about every 10 seconds

Ive tried it four times and once it beeped and let me go into BIOS. Ive been seaching on the net and it says if you have no beeps it means you have no power but i do have power.

I have also put the ram into Dim 3 and 4 on the motherboard the keep it away from the heatsink, do you think this is the problem?

Unplug the AC from the computer and reseat all the connections.
If it worked once, then you probably have at least one connection off just enough to be intermittent.

If your BIOS recognizes the memory, then the slots are ok.
If the BIOS does not recognize the memory, then move them.

I have reseated the 24pin power connector and the 12v 4pin connector.

Next i started the computer and it reset once next it beeped once and i went into the BIOS. Then when i was in the BIOS it reset and no beep again and it keeps resetting.

Ive read my motherboard manual and i can put the ram in dims 3 and 4.

So im thinking it may be the ram, any ideas?

Try this procedure...

Removing the AC power cable from the computer
Open the computer chassis
Remove the BIOS battery from the motherboard for 5 minutes
Replace the battery and then the chassis cover
Reconnect the AC power cable.

Boot up the computer
Go into the BIOS
Set the factory default specs.

Could i just clear the cmos?
