Just placed order for a dell desktop.I just browse and play wow and i am thinking of trying some new games.these are the specs that i know of:
530 core 2 quad 2.40 1066fsb
3gb ddr2 sdram 667mhz
256mb nividia geforce 8600gt ddr3

Anything you see that i should change would be helpful to me.this build is $810 w/19 flat screen(one day disco $310)

That is a good build and a good price. The video card is going to have a somewhat limited lifespan for newer games. If you can bump it up to an 8800gt for a reasonable amount (say 75-100 dollars more) it would really be worth it.

The 8800gt is pretty much the best bang per buck video card out there. It will give you much better performance for the money.

But if you are ok with medium graphics, you'll be set with that build for a while and can just bump it up down the road.

Thanks 4 help that was the best card offered in deal i got so im goin to go with it like i said im not trying to play cysis or anything like that i play most games like that on consoles im more intrested mmo and rts and maybe in a year or two ill bump up to better g card

You could always change it later on--everything @ once is nice, but not always possible.
