just to inform...i just ordered a 512mb memory stick for my motherboard..so that sets me to about 768mb of system memory (when i receive the memory anyways)

768 is what I have, it runs great. You should see a noticeable increase in system performance when it comes...however if you do CADD, Gaming, Music editing (extensively) etc...you really would need more...and if you use Adobe programs
The computers at school have 3gb ram with intel Quad Core processors and 256mb gfx cards and those Adobe programs still take forever to load :P

so what would you consider Adobe programs? out of curiosity...
Obviously Adobe itself but i wasnt aware that it had other programs as well???

Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash etc....
Not so much Acrobat Reader, that runs fine
Sad thing is that they also take about 5 minutes to load Windows XP Pro....something isn't right about that if you ask me....

hmm yeah i would def conisder that a drawback
