I can see soo many issues here Lakin.

First of all, to get rid of the logo, disconnect the HDD and go into BIOS. Look for and disable your On-Screen Logo. The location of this setting varies between motherboards but it is likely to look something like:



Secondly, are you using the ribbon cable supplied with the motherboard, or the same ribbon that has been in that PC all along? Only, there are different types of IDE cable. Also, what is the make and model of the motherboard you put in, and also the make and model of the HDD?

Thirdly, why are you holding down [CTRL]+[ALT]+[DEL]?

Finally, you may or may not be aware that after we get your HDD working, you will need to re-install Windows. Windows will only work on a motherboard it was originally installed on unless the motherboard is identical in make and model.

Thanks for the help did what you said used a new ribon formated hard drive installed windows xp pro great thanks again
