I like the old method of the rug, (not shag lol) I usually work right on the mobo box (cardboard) In all my years in pc's I have never fried anything (and I have tried) but IT CAN HAPPEN..

That's so true it can happen but most likely won't most of the time I use the same method as merlin many time and never had a problem but it is possible .
