ok two years ago i built a pc... piece of **** but it worked and up until a week before christmas i was messing around inside and cleaning out the dust and boom it stoped working. i took it to my cousin to take a look at it... and he thinks i fried the cpu and motherboard, so i took it back, so i get another computer( old dell) and it was working fine... i open it up to clean it and i get it all back together and boom.. it doesn't work either.... both have the same symptom, i can hear it start up but no image to my screen... i have tried switching out graphics cards( 3 different ) unplugging and replugging in ram... etc

any ideas???

Hello there. can you try resetting the CMOS? Look for a set of jumpers on your motherboard, that says CLR CMOS or something like that. switch it over, leave it there for a minute, then switch it back. (make sure the computer is unplugged before you do this)
