Default [Fixed] Bootmgr is missing. . .

My brother is building a computer for a friend and when he tried to in the CD Rom and HD this is the error he got.

"Bootmgr is missing press alt crl delete to reset."

Any help on this would be awesome as hes supposed to get the computer to his friend tomorrow :-(. Thanks!!

Hi has the PC got windows loaded on it or are you trying to install windows? what version of windows is it? Has this PC just been built and never had windows installed?

Hi PJ,

If your friend is trying to install Windows then he will need to set the bios to CD/DVD drive as the primary boot device. If he has already installed Windows then it may be corrupt. Get him to delete the partition and re-create it - then install Windows again. Please be aware that this will delete all information on that partition/drive.
