Default Core 2 Duo cooler noise

If i build a another computer, I will be using the Intel C2D E6420, which i plan to overclock, probably in the neighborhood of 3Ghz. I know the stock cooler can handle the cooling job with no problems, but since i havent actually used the stock cooler before, from my parents one, i just sold it right away, i have no idea how loud they are. I want to save the $35 for the ARCTIC COOLING one if i can, but not if it means i will be stuck with a loud cooler. So if anyone is running one, i would like to hear how quiet you think it is.

Lots of info reviews stats-- on all types of coolers here:

silentpcreview.com | Everything about Silent / Quiet Computers

Edit: They even test and post decibel levels of different coolers-- so you can comparison shop...

thanks mhd but i know what Im doing. The Intel Core 2 series is almsot made for overclocking. they run extremely cool, and reports of overclocks of over 3.4ghz on stock cooling with no overheats are not uncommon with them. I only plan to take it to about 3ghz, which is the fastest retail Core 2. And they both use the same hs. thanks bills will take a look
